The Dutch illustrator and nature artist Marjolein Bastin has captured a special place in many hearts with her warm and recognizable drawing style. Vera the Mouse is a small, curious little mouse who lives surrounded by nature among flowers, leaves, birds, and insects.

Vera the Mouse is a gentle and dreamy character who enjoys the simple things in life. In the stories, Vera experiences ordinary yet familiar moments: walking through the forest, taking shelter from the rain, enjoying the first spring flowers, or discovering the changing seasons together with her animal friends.
